Afanasiia Zhar-Ptitsa is one of the main female protagonists of High School Ankoku. She’s a nun of the Orthodox Church that possesses a sub-species version of Phoenix’s Blessing.
Appearance[]
Afanasiia is a beautiful young girl around James’s age. She has long silver hair and bright green eyes.
She usually wears a nun outfit. Her nun outfit was a dark red robe with golden embroidery onto its edges, and comes with dark red nun cap with golden metal band, a black satchel slung on her right hip, and black boots with white straps in an X-shaped pattern. She also wears a silver cross necklace around her neck.
Personality[]
Afanasiia is a loveable young girl who can see past a person origin and make friend with just about anyone. Being raised in the Orthodox Church Afanasiia learned to hate devils, but she still can look past it (made friend with Arya). She’s also not very honest with herself. This is seen when she claimed that moving in with James is to save him from Arya, when in truth she just wanted to be around him.
History[]
As a child Afanasiia lived with Yelena and her family in Zhar-Ptitsa, Siberia. Then ten years Abaddon appeared and started destroying the village and surrounding area, and killing the townsfolk, just for the pure act of destruction. Before he could kill Afanasiia, Azrael appeared and battled Abaddon. An exorcist, Sasha, of the Church came with Azrael and found Afanasiia. Sasha took in and raised Afanasiia back in Russia from that day on.

Phoenix’s Blessing: Afanasiia’s Sacred Gear. Originally a Sacred Gear that granted the possessor the immortality of a phoenix. Afanasiia’s is a sub-species that heals others.
